Call for Good Earth Officer Nominations

Good Earth Student Farm (GESF) is a student-run organization that grows produce using organic practices for the Iowa State University (ISU) community. Established in 1996 on the main campus it has now grown and is housed at the Horticulture Research Station north of Campus. GESF is now a two-acre diversified vegetable farm and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) operation. The CSA model consists of club members buying shares and working a set amount of hours on the farm, “investing” their time, effort, and knowledge into the farm in exchange for a share of the products. Non-work shares are also sold for those that want to purchase the produce directly and share in the risk and the reward of the farm's bounty.

The 2020 growing season was suspended in light of COVID. At the moment, it is undetermined if we will be able to farm in 2021, but we are looking for officers to start the season's planning and general maintaining of the club. To nominate yourself or anyone you know, please write your/their name under the potential position. One can nominate or be self-nominated for multiple positions but can hold only one after the votes have been finalized. Please share a little bit about yourself/the nominee and why you/the nominee is a good fit for the positions in the Candidate's biography section in this form
