Mariachi Los Amigos de ISU is an organization that plays folk music from Mexico. A mariachi consists of various instruments including but not limiting to: violins, violas, guitars, a guitarron, and vihuelas . Through music, this organization hopes to teach and spread the beauty of traditional Mexican music and culture.

Elections/Selection Elections will be held the third week following the beginning of each semester.
Meetings There will be one general meeting every week for two hours. Meeting date will depend on the availability of members each semester.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

General meetings are two hours long. The first 30 minutes of the meeting will consist of announcements followed by another 30 minutes of warm up. For the remainder of the meeting, the group will play together the proposed music for the semester.

Description of Special Events

There will be a concert at the end of each semester in which the Mariachi group will perform traditional Mexican music and also the hits from today.
