Description of Special Events

The Brain Day for Kids will occur for the first time in January 2017, in the Molecular Biology Building. This event is put on by members of the NGSO and consists of various brain-related activities for kids between the ages of 3-15. During this event, we will also show a children's movie related to the field of Neuroscience.
We are planning the first ever Brain Day in conjunction with the Science Center of Iowa volunteer coordinators. This event will take place in the Spring of 2017 and will be an entire day filled with various Neuroscientific activities for all age ranges, from young children to adult. We are hoping to spark public interest in the field of Neuroscience and to bring more light to wonderful Central Nervous System!
