Academic - Business Sports & Recreation


To promote interest and knowledge in the sport of sailing and other wind sports among students, faculty and staff at ISU. To extend the sailing season on campus from a one season sport to a year-round sport via land yachts, ice boats and other equipment. To provide sailors of all skill and experience levels with opportunities to sail for fun, to practice their sailing skills and gain knowledge.

Meetings Meetings are informal and mostly informational, and will include discussions and planning for future events and updates about the status of the club.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Meetings include general club activity updates, racing and competition information, discussions about activities and social events, and planning for future meetings and outings.

Description of Special Events

Day sailing trips: We'll take out our boats to some local lakes to have fun sailing around. Excellent opportunity for new members to gain their sea legs! College Regattas: We will travel to other school and race competitively against colleges around the Midwest!
Socials: We like to go bowling, we like to play laser tag, we like board games, and we like to eat pizza! Get to know other sailors and share experiences!
