Academic - Engineering Political & Activism

Description

The Society of Ethical Engineers is an organization devoted to the widespread advocacy for developing an understanding amongst students of the ethical and existential consequences of technological developments of the past, present, and future, connecting them with other perspectives to help see the bigger picture. An example of a relevant topic we would discuss with our members and bring different perspectives into could be Climate Change. Factoring in, for example, the anthropological, cultural, philosophical, psychological, geological, agricultural, political, economic, meteorological, historical, and linguistic viewpoints on the topic would help students and faculty from all departments come to understand the issue more and see slices of the bigger picture.
