SHRM provides opportunities for students to network on the local level through student chapters. SHRM student chapters have regular meetings with scheduled programs designed to help members learn more about HR and the real world of business.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
| Our meetings host HR professionals from around Central Iowa that share their experience and expertise within their discipline of HR with our group. Our group strives to provide opportunities for all Iowa State students to engage in meaningful educational experiences and network with a community of local professionals. |
Description of Special Events
| Networking Events are held once a semester hosting HR professionals from all over the state. These events build students' confidence in their ability to introduce themselves in a meaningful way and engage in academic conversations with established professionals. |
