The Foal Intensive Care Unit at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine is a volunteer organization open to veterinary and pre-veterinary students that provides an opportunity for future veterinarians in training to gain hands-on clinical and husbandry experience nursing and monitoring admitted foals and their dams in the structured environment of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

Membership Qualifications Must be a veterinary student or pre-vet undergraduate student and have an interest in equine medicine.

Elections/Selection Two first year veterinary students are selected every spring semester.
Meetings An introductory meeting is held every January.
