The Ophthalmology Club strives to provide students with both information and experience in the area of ophthalmology that they may not get from the formal curriculum. Ophthalmology means "the study of the eye". The club meets monthly over the lunch hour for informal discussions about cases down in the clinic and ongoing research in the field of veterinary ophthalmology. Wet labs are meant to provide members with the opportunity to gains hand on experience with performing the basic ophthalmic exam on different species. Any veterinary student interested in learning more about ophthalmology is strongly encouraged to join.
