The ISU Food Product Development Team competes in food product development competitions sponsored by industry, professional organizations, research institutions, or any other organization. Members are responsible for forming sub-teams, deciding on a competition to enter, abiding by the stipulated rules, and meeting all deadlines specified by the specific food product development competition. Members will work through the food product development process that includes marketing, formulating, processing, quality testing, packaging, and problem solving all challenges associated with launching a new food product into the marketplace.
