Ames Area Collegiate Hunting Club (HC)

The Iowa State Hunting Club is a group of individuals with a common interest in hunting and game management. The Club consists of different hunters and non-hunters with mixed outdoor experiences, and promotes participation in land and game management, hunting safety, hunting ethics, and hunting outings.

Membership Information

Non-ISU Members 0
Allowed Members All students and faculty in good standing with university policies.
Allowed Officers All officers must be club members who are dedicated to club actives and in good academic standing.
Membership Qualifications Any university student or faculty that is interested in the sport of hunting that are in good standing with the university.
Membership Restrictions Any students in poor academic standing with the university or with negative standing the Iowa DNR will not be admitted into the club.
Elections/Selection Elections will be held in the spring semester.
Meetings Meetings will take place every-other week. Times, dates, and locations will be announced by social media. Request to join the ISU Hunting Club facebook page by clicking the social media link.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Meetings will consist of discussion of club events, guest speakers from experts in the hunting industry, and other discussion topics such as coordinating of hunts.

Description of Special Events

Club duck hunts in North Dakota and Minnesota, spring snow goose hunt in Missouri, paintball, philanthropy events in coordination with Iowa DNR, and other club social events.
