Latinx Student Initiatives is an a student organization that serves to promote Latinx Leadership and unite the Latinx community on campus. We host two annual events each academic year. In the fall, we host the Latinx Leadership Retreat and in the Spring we host the Latinx Graduation Ceremony. The purpose and goals of this organization are: 1.Develop and experience a Latino/a Community 2.Develop and promote Latino student Leadership 3.Empower Latino/a students at Iowa State University

Allowed Members Anyone who is interested in joining the organization
Allowed Officers Must have planned AT LEAST one Latinx Leadership Retreat OR one Latinx Graduation Ceremony.
Membership Qualifications Must have attended a Latinx Leadership Retreat in the past. Open to students who have not attended the retreat but would still like to be involved: Requirement will be to help plan events but will have to be attendees to retreat when the opportunity comes

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

During regular meetings, LSI members have an opportunity to share topics of interest to the Latinx community at ISU.

Description of Special Events

LSI hosts its annual Latinx Leadership Retreat during the fall semester to educate new Latinx ISU students on leadership development and community building. During the spring semester, LSI hosts an annual Latinx Graduation Ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of its graduating members.
