The aim of WVLDI will be to create events and workshops that foster the development of future woman leaders in the veterinary profession. This organization recognizes the gap in woman�s leadership in the veterinary profession despite predominate female representation as DVMs. Events will focus on building skillsets that include networking, confidence, negotiation, mentorship etc. with a focus on developing leadership, policy and decision making skills in all sectors of veterinary medicine and supporting aspiring female leaders in these areas.

Events are centered around current relevant issues in the profession as determined by member interest, the executive board and the national WVLDI chapter.
