Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Various physical therapy schools come to Iowa State and share information and answer any questions that our club members may have. The representative often provides a powerpoint or a presentation that has their school's unique qualities listed, prerequisites students must complete, average incoming GPA and GRE scores, number of observation hours that must be completed, etc. Meetings often take place during the evening on a school night and are held about once a month.

Description of Special Events

We also have a kick-off event that happens during the first week of fall classes, where officers introduce themselves and welcome new members to the club. At the end of the school year in the spring, our club holds an election day where we vote for the next president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and human sciences representative. Other meeting that potentially take place involve teaching the club members about PTCAS, the GRE, and other important information relating to physical therapy.
