The Transportation Student Association is the parent organization of the Iowa State chapters of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and the Intelligent Transportation Systems of America (ITS|A). This organization cultivates the advancement of transportation ideas through interactions with members of academia, industry, and the public through meetings, sponsored conferences, and outreach initiatives. TSA nurtures the development of professional spirit and encourages fellowship among members and alumni.

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is pleased to announce the HSIS (Highway Safety Information System) Research Paper Competition which is designed to encourage university students to use HSIS data to investigate a topic that advances highway safety and to develop a paper (2,500-5,000 words) to document the original research.  Click here for more information.

» Must have attained junior or senior standing by beginning of Fall 2017 semester.

» Can't have received a past MSA scholarship.
