The Alliance for Disability Awareness is a student organization dedicated to supporting students with disabilities, as well as raising awareness for the wide variety of disabilities on campus and pushing for a more accessible ISU.

Allowed Members All Iowa State faculty and students welcome.
Allowed Officers All students qualified according to the constitution
Membership Qualifications Any students running for an officer position must be in good standing with the university and enrolled at least half-time at Iowa State. A GPA of 2.00 or above must be maintained to be eligible for office.
Membership Restrictions None
Elections/Selection Elections are held the last meeting of spring semester, positions are held for one academic year.
Meetings Biweekly, Wednesday at 5:00 PM in the lobby of the students services building. Our first meeting of the fall semester will be August 30th.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Meetings consist of both social activities as well as planning for awareness activities.

Description of Special Events

Special events include awareness events such as "A Walk in my Shoes", awareness days to highlight the diversity of disabilites at Iowa State, as well as student speaking arrangements for classes around campus.
