AirISU is a non-profit collegiate organization with the purpose to construct a Light Sport Aircraft. The club is based around building a donated kit airplane. This club is a great way for engineering students to gain hands-on experience with aircraft construction and also holds many opportunities for talking to large engineering companies. We have a great need for committed members in the construction process as well as students looking for leadership obtained through officer positions. Work has been completed on the club's latest project, a Zenith Zodiac XL 601, which you may have seen hanging from the rafters of Howe Hall. Our current project is a Bearhawk LSA (Light Sport Aircraft) that we started in the beginning of the spring semester of 2015. We have fully completed and covered both wings and are in the process of covering the fuselage and expect this project to be completed in Spring of 2018.
This organization has no affiliations.
