Pledging Information

Our Mission: College students gathered together in an organization based on fraternalism and founded on the principles of the Boy Scouts of America. Its purpose is to develop leadership, promote friendship, and provide service to humanity.

Pledging Requirements:

1. Attend all pledge meetings

        a. Excused absences: family emergency, review sessions, tests, sick

        b. No unexcused absence allowed

        c. In even of absence, notify VP of membership by email prior to meeting

2. Participate in the planning and preparation for Beloit Day or pledge fellowship (can count towards 15 service hours) 

3. Attend both Beloit Day and the pledge fellowship 

4. Attend one fellowship event

5. Pass the written Pledge Education Test

6. Complete all active membership requirements


Active Membership Requirements:

1. Complete a minimum of 20 hours of service per semester (minimum 8 with APO, 12 may be from other volunteer activities.)

2. Pay all dues and fees

3. Attend all weekly chapter meetings


Pledging Dues & Costs: 

1. First Payment due at Pledging Ceremony

        $32 (National Pledge fee) + $5 (Chapter fee) = $37

2. Second Payment (Due at Initiation Ceremony): $35 (National Initiation fee)

3. Recurring Cost: $32 (National fee, yearly)

                              $20 per semester (Chapter fee, each semester)

4. Cash or check; checks may be made out to Alpha Phi Omega Xi Chapter


Meeting Types: 

Chapter Meetings: 8 - 9:00pm Carver 0202 

Pledge Meetings held weekly on Monday nights, 9 - 10:00pm in Carver 0202.
