Goals

2018 AST Club Goals:

The club was successful in reaching it's goals last year; we have had close to 80 members show up the Fall 2018 meetings so far and that is the most there has been in a few years. The officer team recruited a lot at the freshman and transfer BBQ at the beginning of the year so that is good. Have to steer those freshmen in the right way and get them involved. For 2018 the AST Club's goals are closely related to past years:

  • Continue to increase membership by recruiting new members and create long term friendships between members in the club.
  • Increase the number of snow blowers and lawn mowers for each service days.
  • Increase variety of industry speakers for the club meetings.
  • Strive to help all members gain internships, full time job opportunities, and widen their knowledge on ideas and topics.
  • Contribute to the community in a positive way.

2016 AST Club Goals:

The AST Club was very successful in reaching its goals last year. We are continuing to grow as a club and continue bringing in a wide variety of companies for our club members. We were also successful in replacing the VEISHEA Tractor Display and bringing the display to the College of Agriculture week.  For the May 2016-May 2017 year our goals are very similar:

  • Continue to increase membership by recruiting new members and creating a fellowship among the club.
  • Increase the number of snow blowers and lawn mowers for each service day.
  • Increase variety of industry speakers for club members.
  • Strive to help all members gain internships and full time job opportunities.
  • Contribute to the community in a positive way.
