Description

The Brazilian Student Organization exists to unite the Brazilian community and connect with other people by hosting and cultural events for the Iowa State Community. Brazilian Student Organization goals are to: 1. Share the Brazilian culture with the community by hosting cultural events and presentations 2. Provide support for Brazilians students, scholars and staff 3. To promote ISU in Brazilian recruitment events

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Brazilian Student Organization meets once a week. The first and third week of each month are meetings for all members. The 2nd and 4th meetings of each month are for executive council.

Description of Special Events

Brazilian student Organization participates in cultural events. We participate in International Week and World Cuisine Day in October. Plan the annual Brazilian Student Organization dinner event in March and the annual Carnaval event in February. We also host picnics and barbecues throughout the semester to bring the community together and celebrate the Brazilian culture.
