Design Ambassadors Club
The Design Ambassadors Club promotes the College of Design within the Iowa State University and beyond to increase awareness and support recruitment efforts. Ambassadors represent the College of Design at numerous on and off campus events including Experience Iowa State, New Student Orientation, and the twice annual College of Design Open House. Ambassadors also create outreach opportunities for prospective students and K-12 students throughout the state of Iowa. As a benefit of membership, Ambassadors work directly with College of Design administration to implement and improve services, communications, opportunities, and offerings to current and prospective Design students. The Design Ambassadors Club is affiliated with DSN S 303, a course taught by the club's adviser. Active Design Ambassadors may enroll in the course to gain credit for their service. Ambassadors earn service hours by volunteering for events and serving on committees as needed by Design Administration. Every fifteen hours of service is equivalent to one credit of DSN S 303. Meetings are held approximately every 2-3 weeks in the College of Design. Activities in which Ambassadors can participate occur weekly with many on-going projects and opportunities.
