While our primary focus is vegetarianism/veganism we broaden the scope of our club to support all steps toward a more moral approach to food production and consumption given the complex nature of the issues at hand. Our goal is thus to open-mindedly and inclusively advocate a rational, ethical approach to all aspects of one’s diet. In other words, although we mainly support vegetarianism/veganism, we will still be accepting of all and promote friendly interpersonal debate/discussion. Our main club activities will be education-related and involve networking with like-minded students and faculty. Ethical Eating Club holds on-campus potlucks and activism opportunities we would also like to lobby for change at on/off campus food retailers. Our meetings (whether weekly or biweekly), will focus on planning the above events/activities as well as advancing our own understanding of the moral, environmental, and human/animal health issues at hand. With a wide spectrum of student backgrounds and mindsets, all are welcome!
