FCEdS Club is a professional development club promoting Family and Consumer Sciences Education. We are involved in community service, leadership, and activities of the College of Human Sciences.

Allowed Officers Elected officers must be enrolled in the College of Human Sciences.
Membership Qualifications Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) as stated below and meet that minimum GPA in the semester immediately prior to the election/appointment, the semester of election/appointment and semesters during the term of office. For undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, the minimum GPA is 2.00. In order for this provision to be met, at least six hours (half-time credits) must have been taken for the semester under consideration. e in good standing with the university and enrolled: at least half time (six or more credit hours), if an undergraduate student (unless fewer credits are required to graduate in the spring and fall semesters) during the term of office, and at least half time (four or more credits), if a graduate level student (unless fewer credits are required in the final stages of their degree as defined by the Continuous Registration Requirement) during their term of office.
Membership Restrictions Ineligibility to hold an office would occur should a student fail to maintain the requirement qualifications stated above.
Elections/Selection Officers consist of president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, co-social/publicity chairs, co historian/photographer, co philanthropy/fundraising, and co representatives for Human Sciences Council. Election of officers will be held in the last club business meeting in the month of November. Voting shall be done by either secret paper or secret electronic ballot. In the event of a tie, there will be a re-vote conducted between the two persons tied. All FCEdS club members will be eligible to vote in officer elections. Officers will begin official duties starting at the beginning of January the following calendar year. No officer may serve more than two terms in the same position.
Meetings Meetings for the Fall 2019 semester include: September 10 and 24, October 8 (field trip) and 22, November 12, and December 3 (field trip). Meetings are held in 301 MacKay Hall at 5:15 p.m. February 26th March 12th March 26th April 9th April 23rd

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

The primary activities of the Family and Consumer Sciences Education and Studies Club include: field trips, professional development through partnerships with career related associations and educators, exhibitions, student recruitment, educational programming/outreach, and service learning.
