Description

The purpose of the Iowa State Women's Lacrosse Club is to promote the game of lacrosse among the students at Iowa State University and in the Midwest. We also strive to foster the competitive spirit and work ethic associated with lacrosse, while offering ISU women a competitive outlet and allowing for the formation of strong team bonds.

Membership Restrictions There are no restrictions
Elections/Selection We do not hold try outs for our team. Officer elections take place at the end of the spring season.
Meetings Practices are every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday when the weather is tolerable from 5-7 pm at the Southwest Complex. By the end of October, usually, we move inside to Lied Recreation Center, where we practice later at night ranging from 9-11 pm for 1-hour time slots.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

During the Fall and Spring semesters we attend several tournaments. We participate in about 2-3 during the fall and 3-5 during the spring semester. We have traveled as far north as Minnesota and Wisconsin, as far south as Arkansas, and as far west as Colorado.

Description of Special Events

Depending on our standings at the end of the year, we may travel to compete in Nationals! (the location is determined each year by the US Lacrosse Board)
