The Latter-day Saint Student Association (LDSSA) is established by the L.D.S. Institute of Religion, whose purpose is to help young adults understand and rely on the teachings and Atonement of Jesus Christ, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven. The LDSSA seeks to help ISU students have a balanced academic and spiritual education, to encourage members of LDSSA to become an influence for good by participating in activities and service on campus and in the community, and to provide students with meaningful social and religious activities that are consistent with LDSSA standards. The LDSSA also sponsors an international student outreach program. We work to connect international students with families and LDSSA members in the Ames area for family dinners, holidays, and celebrations. This is an opportunity for international students to meet American families, learn American customs, and share their culture with the Ames community! Please contact the International Friends Chair for more information! If you are a prospective ISU student and want to visit ISU, meet LDSSA members, learn more about the club, or learn more about Ames, please contact the President or Vice President – we would love to meet you!
