Medicine, Education, and Development for Low Income Families Everywhere (MEDLIFE) Iowa State University
MEDLIFE is an organization that partners with low-income communities in Latin America to improve their access to medicine, education, and community development initiatives. We achieve our mission through Volunteer Trips, the MEDLIFE Project Fund, and student empowerment.
The Iowa State University Chapter is a student-based group that represents and promotes MEDLIFE on campus and in their local communities. Student chapters make an impact by: organizing groups to participate in Mobile Clinics, raising awareness about global health inequity, hosting fundraisers for The MEDLIFE Project Fund, engaging in local community service, and hosting regional conferences, among other initiatives.
MEDLIFE seeks to empower students to make a difference. MEDLIFE student volunteers work closely with our Latin American staff and medical professionals on Mobile Clinics, and our student chapters provide essential fundraising for the MEDLIFE Fund.
