NSA is a group of students, postdocs, faculties & families from Nepal. It was established to let people know about Nepal and share the multiethnic cultures and traditions with other students and general public. It also aims in assisting incoming Nepalese students.

Momo feast and Spring Welcome 2026

Nepalese Student's Association is organizing Momo Feast 2026 on February 14, 2026 (2:00 pm -6:00 pm) at Collegiate United Methodist Church, Lincoln Way. Use this form to sign up and confirm your participation in the Momo Feast. Please note that there will be a $10 entry fee at the door. Momo pricing is as follows:

NSA member: $5
NSA family (3 or more members): $15
Others: $10

Dashain Tika Celebration 2025

The Nepali community in Ames—including students, faculty, staff, and families—came together to celebrate the Dashain Tika festival with warmth and tradition. The event included the tika ceremony, a delicious Nepali dinner, and a joyful photo session to capture the memories.

NSA Representation at Diwali Night 2025

As part of an inter-association collaboration, members of the Nepalese Students' Association (NSA) proudly participated in Diwali Night 2025, hosted by the Indian Students’ Association. The vibrant celebration took place at Ames Auditorium on November 15, 2025.

Ames vs Des Moines Football Match 2025

The Ames-based Nepali students from Iowa State University faced off against members of the Nepali community from Des Moines in a friendly football match. The game was organized by the Nepalese Students' Association at ISU (NSA) and concluded with a pizza lunch shared by both teams.
