Student Health and Wellness Ambassadors will partner with the Student Health and Wellness unit (Recreation Services, Student Wellness, Student Counseling Services and Thielen Student Health Center) to help build a culture of health and well-being on campus by conducting outreach on health and wellness resources, being key communicators of health and wellness, and serving in an advisory capacity to the Student Health and Wellness unit.
Purpose of the Ambassadors
1. To act as a liaison between the ISU student community and the Student Health and Wellness unit
2. To engage campus partners and fellow students and foster conversations about health and wellness.
3. To obtain and provide student feedback regarding health and wellness services
4. To take an active part in promoting Student Health and Wellness to Iowa State University students
Activities will include but are not limited to conducting outreach to students on campus, volunteering for various health and wellness events, programs, and activities, and coordinating an annual Mock Clinic event.

||Elections are once a year in March/April
||Leadership team meetings are twice per month held during active school year
Unit team meetings are held 1-2 times per month
Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
|Leadership Team Meeting - Provide direction for SHWA, help determine upcoming events/projects, be key communicators to other student organizations/councils, work closely with the advisors and the directors of Student Health and Wellness.
Unit Team Meeting - Discuss issues related to specific Student Health and Wellness department and serve as an advisory group to Student Health and Wellness department.
Description of Special Events
Participate in outreach and tabling events to share information and resources on Student Health and Wellness with other students.
Students will have opportunities to volunteer at various Student Health and Wellness programs and events and on various Student Health and Wellness departmental projects or tasks.
Once a year, a “mock clinic” event is hosted for all students at the Student Health and Wellness departments. Students can participate in activities related to health and wellness fields of interest.
