Description

SolidWorks and CAD club was created to grant students the opportunity to enhance their CAD skills, network and collaborate with students from various fields, and gain advice from student and industry speakers. The club welcomes members of all skill levels and with experience in any CAD and programming software. Overall, the majority of attention will be focused on SolidWorks in order to improve club members abilities in the industry leading software and provide the opportunity to earn a CSWA(Certified Solidworks Associate) or CSWP(Certified Solidworks Professional) Certification!

Allowed Officers 8
Membership Qualifications Officers must be a Sophomore or higher, with experience in at least one SolidWorks or CAD class, and a cumulative GPA above a 2.00/4.00.
Membership Restrictions All students with an interest in learning CAD are welcome to participate in the club.
Elections/Selection Elections will be held at the end of the fall semester for non-renewing positions, and at the end of the spring semester for all upcoming fall positions.
Meetings There will be 1-2 meetings per month throughout the school year. Preliminary schedule will be discussed at the welcome meeting and emails will be sent to members prior to each club meeting.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

General meetings will include small presentations on CAD topics followed by hands on activities to provide practice using the software.

Description of Special Events

Other sessions will include peer tutoring, group competitions, group project, individual SolidWorks certifications, and other CAD practice.
