Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

The CCEE GSC has three established events - the Annual Student Research Showcase and Poster Competition (during the spring semester) and the New Students Orientation and Welcome event (at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters). Aside from those events, the Executive Board Members can propose and plan different events each semester. The council should try to host at least two academic and two social events per semester.

Description of Special Events

Annual Student Research Showcase and Poster Competition - This is an annual event that usually occurs during the spring semester, where all graduate students are encouraged to participate and present a poster on any research project they have been working on. People from industry and faculty are invited to be judges and determine the winners for each area of specialization.
New Students Orientation and Welcome - These events occur at the beginning of the spring and fall semesters. The main purpose is to welcome new graduate students joining the CCEE department and allow them to meet their fellow students. These events also serve as an opportunity to provide a brief orientation to new graduate students, introduce the CCEE GSC Executive Board members, and answer some general questions.
