Elections/Selection Candidates for officer positions are typically required to be active student members of both the local student chapter and the national CMAA organization. It is often recommended that elected officers be second- to fourth-year students or graduate students to ensure familiarity with chapter operations and institutional procedures. A Nomination Committee will be appointed annually to oversee the nomination and election of officers.
Meetings CMAA Future typically holds meetings on a regular basis, though the frequency may vary depending on the chapter's size, goals, and university policies. The general member meetings will be held monthly. These meetings provide updates on upcoming events, guest speakers, networking opportunities, and industry trends.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

The general member meetings provide updates on upcoming events, guest speakers, networking opportunities, and industry trends. They may also include educational sessions, discussions, or career development workshops. The chapter’s officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, etc.) meet more frequently to discuss chapter operations, event planning, and strategic initiatives. Additionally, industry professionals, club managers, and CMAA representatives may be invited for guest lectures, panel discussions, and networking sessions. These events typically take place a few times per semester.

Description of Special Events

Our major event of the year is usually attending the CMAA World Conference. In 2020 it will be in Dallas, TX, February 8-12. Students participate in a number of activities, including networking with other school chapters, attending seminars with industry leaders, and interviewing for jobs and internships. We also meet with our parent chapter of CMAA, the Tall Corn Chapter, regularly.
