Description
BOOST (Building Optimized Outcomes in Sports Technology) is a sports engineering club at Iowa State University. The club dives into a variety of sports with scientific and problem-solving mindsets, to study past engineering marvels in sports, as well as creating new technology to be used in sports. The organization strives to provide students with opportunities to have hands on engineering experience, group projects, and connections to current sporting goods companies. Students can expect a variety of meeting types, from slideshows explaining how the weight of a bowling ball affects how many pins are knocked down to a hands-on experiment attempting to create a baseball with maximum spin.
