About Us – MMA Enthusiasts Club
The MMA Enthusiasts Club is the home for fight fans and supporters of martial artists at Iowa State University and in the Ames community. Founded after the closure of the previous MMA club, our mission is to keep the spirit of mixed martial arts alive on campus by building a community that celebrates fighters, promotes events, and brings more fans into the sport.
We are not a training club — instead, we focus on the fan and support side of MMA. Whether you’re a die-hard fight fan, an athlete looking for more exposure, or someone just curious about the sport, this is the place for you.
What We Do
Fight Night Watch Parties – Get together to enjoy UFC, Bellator, PFL, ONE Championship, and local events.
Fighter & Event Support – Help local fighters sell tickets, gain publicity, and connect with fans.
Community Building – Host social events, group outings, and team-bonding activities to bring fight fans closer together.
Fundraising & Sponsorships – Work to reduce the financial burden of competing by supporting martial artists through fundraising and awareness campaigns.
Media & Outreach – Build hype for fighters and the sport with posters, social media content, highlight videos, and collaborations.
