Special Interest Sports & Recreation

Description

The Ames Flyers (formerly the Flying Cyclones) is a club about anything and everything aviation related. Our club typically has meetings every two or three weeks. Meetings may feature guest speakers, presentations, games and trivia, videos, and discussions of upcoming events. Our big events are trips around the Midwest to see different aspects of aviation, as well as our annual Fly-In at the Ames Airport. Members are given resources and advice about pursuing a Pilot's License. Our club pilots also offer opportunities for other members to join them on flights.
