To promote the inclusion of ethnic and cultural groups that are under-represented in agricultural and natural resources and related fields in all phases of career preparation and participation. Networking organization with undergraduate, graduate and professional members. The organization allows to exchange research ideas as well as development employment opportunities for members. The objectives are to increase the number of students studying agricultural and related sciences, foster a bond among students, faculty and staff, encourage scholarly achievement and enhance professional and leadership development.

Membership Information

Allowed Members All undergraduate students, graduate students, and professionals are eligible to join.
Allowed Officers All dues-paying students are eligible to become an officer
Membership Qualifications Active participation in club meetings and events. 2.5 GPA minimum for Undergraduate students; 3.0 GPA minimum for Graduate students. Dues paid during candidacy, and post-election.
Membership Restrictions There are no restrictions to joining MANRRS
Elections/Selection Elections are done at the final meeting of the Spring semester. Every member who has paid his/her/their dues and who is present at the meeting has voting rights and can vote during elections.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Regular meetings are held biweekly to discuss club business such as fund raising and community service activities. Meetings are held using parliamentary procedures. Guest speakers routinely come and present to the club. Meeting dates for the Fall 2021 semester are: Sep. 29, Oct. 13, Oct. 27, Nov. 10, and Dec. 1

Description of Special Events

MANRRS National Conference- The MANRRS Annual Career Fair and Training Conference is designed to foster and promote inclusion and advancement of MANRRS members in their academic and professional fields. Opportunities are provided for students to meet professionals in their chosen fields, to interview with interested organizations, to develop leadership skills, and to demonstrate their skills and abilities. Opportunities are provided for professional members to network with others in their fields and develop leadership skills, as well as meet and support students in their educational endeavors.
MANRRS Regional Conference- The goal of the cluster meetings is to encourage diversity and pluralism and promote the development of those leadership skills that will prepare our members for a thriving future in the agricultural, natural resources and related sciences. We seek to provide strategies and techniques that will prove effective for member professional development and advancement in today’s work environment. MANRRS hopes to achieve this goal by collaborating with our corporate, government and university partners to offer seminars that will provide a guide for their future success.
