Description
Tri Iota is an organization that advocates for marginalized groups, feminist values of intersectionality, and activism within the Iowa State community. The purpose is to create a supportive environment for those interested in Women's and Gender Studies. Any Iowa State student with a 3.0 or higher grade average will be eligible to join. For those interested in being involved with the honor society, there will be an application to complete for membership.

Elections/Selection |
Elections will be held once a year in the spring semester. |
Meetings |
General and officer meetings will be held at least once each month unless otherwise specified. General meetings will occur on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM, with officer meetings occurring on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM (virtual or otherwise). Special meetings shall be announced via email at least two days (48 hours) prior to the special meeting. |
Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
Monthly general meetings focus on community building around all topics of bodily autonomy, reproductive health, and stigma fighting on campus. Monthly recruitment and activism events also occur to share reproductive health educational resources, spread awareness on important topics related to the organization's values, as well as to form a sense of community among individuals on the Iowa State campus. |
