We are the United Residents of Off-Campus.
United Residents of Off-Campus (UROC) is the constituency council for all ISU students not living in university-owned housing nor in a fraternity or sorority house.
All students living off-campus or outside of Ames are considered a part of UROC, and as such, our meetings and events are all open to you! We are in the process of improving the council engagement and membership to reflect the needs of students. Please see the calendar below for our meeting times and events.
Become an Off-Campus (UROC) Senator!
As of 4/15/2026, UROC is searching for 4 senator candidates to fill our remaining Off-Campus senate seats within the Iowa State University Student Government. Becoming an Off-Campus senator provides you with a great opportunity to connect with other motivated students and influence real change on (and off) campus!
Student Government Senate meetings are Wednesdays from 6:00-10:00pm, and last anywhere between 1.5 hours to 4 hours. Aside from attending Senate and UROC meetings, senators are also required to fulfill responsibilities outlined in the Student Government Bylaws and Constitution.
Get Involved!
If you are interested in getting involved with the UROC Constituency Council and/or become an Off-Campus Student Senator, please fill out this Interest Form. If you have any questions, please contact UROC President Grant Pautsch (grantp29@iastate.edu).
