Description
Mortensen House, a residential community based within Helser Hall at Iowa State University, is rooted in the concept of student-based leadership. From informal leadership to house cabinet, there is a space for every student to be involved. Mortensen House promotes and encourages ideas of free expression, whether it be an idea for community involvement or opinions on ways to get more people excited about campus events. This community also strives to provide an effective academic environment that allows all students to succeed at any goal or achievement, while also hoping to foster a strong social community between peers that will permit an acquisition of skills that will propel them forward in a personal and professional manner.
