Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. is a historically Latino-based social fraternity with multicultural membership established on brotherhood, scholarship, cultural awareness, & community service. In order to achieve this goal, we all strive to model these behaviors and present ourselves in a gentlemanly and educated fashion. Description of Special Events

Charity Bowl - The Annual Beta–Gamma Charity Bowl began as the dream of brother Jason “Maestro” Smolka from the Omicron Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Incorporated. The initial proposal was brought to the Omicron Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta and Gamma Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma as a possible joint event to be held in the Fall of 2002. The 1st Annual Beta-Gamma Charity Bowl took place on December 5th, 2002 at the 20th Century Bowl in Ames, IA. As a result of the hard work of the Betas and Gammas involved, the 1st annual Beta-Gamma Charity Bowl attracted over 50 participants from across the Midwest. The 1st annual Beta-Gamma Charity Bowl raised $619.86 for the Ames Free Municipal Clinic. Since the first charity bowl, we have raised over $12,000 for the Ames area charitable organizations.
