Description

The primary purpose of the club shall be to promote the martial arts of taekwondo, judo and hapkido within the Iowa State community. The sec- ondary purpose will be to promote the health, education, well-being and safety of members of the Iowa State and Ames communities.

Allowed Members All students, faculty, alumni, and community members allowed.
Allowed Officers Full time students can be officers.
Membership Qualifications We welcome individuals of all levels of fitness, physical capabilities, and walks of life.
Membership Restrictions Students must pay the associated dues and sign a release of liability waiver.
Elections/Selection Elections are held during the second to last week of the Spring semester preceding each academic year.
Meetings The Martial Arts Club meets weekly for practices, bi-weekly for Judo, Hapkido, and Taekwondo cabinet meetings, and monthly for tri-club cabinet meetings.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

The Martial Arts Club meets weekly for practices and bi-weekly for cabinet meetings. Fall 2021 Schedule - All practices in Forker E0202 Monday and Wednesday: Taekwondo 6:00-7:00 Tuesday and Thursday: Judo 6:00-7:00, Hapkido 7:00-8:00.

Description of Special Events

Each of the three divisions of our club participate in tournaments, self defense seminars, social outings, fundraisers, and demos.
