The Stormettes Dance Line provides a space for multicultural students to learn various dance styles. The goal of this organization is to promote body positivity and confidence through dancing. We perform at various events held at Iowa State University and in the Ames community.

Membership Qualifications An individual is considered a member of The Stormettes Dance Line if that individual meets the follow requirements: maintains a GPA of 2.0 or higher and is available to meet for practice at least twice per week. First-year students are eligible to be a member without meeting the requirement of a 2.0 GPA or higher. Once first year is completed students must fulfill the academic requirement of 2.0 GPA or higher to be eligible for membership.
Membership Restrictions A minimum 2.0 Collegiate GPA is required, and a member must be enrolled at least one course to be eligible as a performing member or office holder. *The GPA standard will be evaluated with care/caution for First Semester Freshmen, as well as academically recovering upperclassmen
Elections/Selection Elections will be held at the end of the Spring semester with a majority vote result. Once a student successfully completes their audition and is given a spot on the team, their spot is secure throughout the entire school year as well as the summer that follows. Any Member/office holder may be relieved of their position if they do not adhere to the standards of conduct noted in The Stormettes Dance Line constitution.
Meetings Dancers and eboard members are required to attend all practices and performances. Workout attire and non-scuffing sneakers or dance shoes are required for rehearsals.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

Practices begin with a brief warm-up. Following that, we begin to teach/practice a routine, which will continue for about an hour and a half. For the last 30 minutes, we do a basic stretch and meet, where we talk about what's to come while cooling down.

Description of Special Events

All dancers and eboard members are required to participate in fundraisers throughout the semester.
