Description
The purpose of this organization is to facilitate structured, open discussion about policy, ethics, and current events. Members are expected to rationalize their positions — not just state them — and to focus on concrete reasoning over ideology. The goal isn't to convince, but to understand how others think and why. We encourage members to make space for quieter voices, engage with perspectives they disagree with, and treat discussion as a skill worth practicing. No preparation or background knowledge is required. Students from all majors are welcome.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities
| On average, meetings begin with about 5 minutes of club business. After that, we introduce ourselves and briefly share our stance on the topic being discussed. Then, depending on the size of the group, the discussion flows relatively freely, and the president facilitates conversation as needed. If you're concerned that you'll be forced to talk or won't get a chance to speak, everyone gets a chance to speak if they choose to and is under no obligation to share if they have no desire to. We always ensure the discussion environment is respectful and open to all views. |
