Schedule of Conference

The Pre-Health Conference will occur on April 6 from 1 PM to 5:30 PM at Gerdin Business Building. The general schedule outline can be referenced in the text to the right.

 

HealthCare Professionals Panel

There will be one healthcare professional from the list below during the Healthcare Professionals Panel. The panel will be in a large room with all students in attendance listening and asking their own questions. The purpose of one large panel to inform students of all the different careers in healthcare and help them decide which path to pursue.

The following tracks are:

• MD/DO
• Dental
• PA
• OT/PT
• Optometry
• Genetic Counseling

 

Graduate Student Panel

Following the Healthcare Professionals Panel, there will be a graduate students panel. Each healthcare specialty will be assigned their own room for this portion of the conference. During this panel, graduate students will Zoom into a live call for students to ask questions about their path to obtaining a seat in their respective program and what their experience has been like. 

Students may switch tracks during the conference however, they are encouraged to stay for the entire panel's duration. 

 

School Fair

The school fair will be held in person. Each school will be given their own space for students to interact with admissions staff and current students.

 

Closing Announcements

At the end of the Pre-Health Conference students will gather back in the room the keynote speaker spoke in. During this time, an admissions counselor will be hosting a workshop to help students write and improve upon their personal statement. In addition to this workshop food will be provided during this time.
