ISU College Democrats

No upcoming events

The College Democrats are the front line of the Democratic party on our campus. We spread to our fellow students the values of the Democratic Party, encourage young people to participate in the American political process, and provide opportunities to work on Democratic campaigns. We also serve as a place to discuss current events in politics and meet other Democrats on campus. Iowa can be an incredibly exciting place to be in American politics, and joining the ISU Dems is a perfect opportunity to get involved. We are currently working hard to #TurnIowaBlue this November by hosting phone banks, knocking doors, and registering students to vote while telling them about our amazing candidates up for election this fall. After the election will begin to focus more on issue advocacy and lobbying our elected officials. Want to meet the next President of the United States? After this fall's elections and into spring term, we will begin hosting prospective 2020 Democratic presidential candidates on campus. The College Democrats is an official chapter of the College and Young Democrats of Iowa, which itself is co-chartered through College Democrats of America, and Young Democrats of America.
