NSA is a group of students, postdocs, faculties & families from Nepal. It was established to let people know about Nepal and share the multiethnic cultures and traditions with other students and general public. It also aims in assisting incoming Nepalese students.

Description of Regular Meetings/Activities

We meet at least twice in a semester. We participate in the Events organized International Student Council like I-Night, Food Fair

Description of Special Events

Annual Picnic: Yearly get together of Nepalese community in Ames and nearby area. Includes food, fun activities, sports, dance, music, welcoming of new members and NSA election.
Dashain Celebration: Celebration of Nepalese national festival which includes traditional food and cultural programs.
Tihar Celebration: Celebration of Tihar in Ames by going to members' apartments/homes to play deusi/bhailo.
