Requirements to Join Alpha Pi Mu:

In order to join Alpha Pi Mu at Iowa State, one must fulfill the following requirements: 

• Be in the top 1/5 of junior status or top 1/3 of senior status Industrial Engineering students at Iowa State (based on GPA) and receive an email inviting one to join
• Attend an information session about Alpha Pi Mu a week prior to initiation 
• Attend all initiation week events and complete all initiation requirements
• Pay a one-time fee of $75

Initiation Week:

• Initiation is held halfway through both fall and spring semesters and allows invited initiates to become members
• It starts with two signature sessions, where initiates get the chance to meet the cabinet, current members, and faculty 
• There's typically a social event, a dinner at a professor's house, and a service project throughout the week
• It ends with an initiation ceremony
