The purpose of the Robotics Club at Iowa State University is to provide students the extracurricular opportunity to learn about, build, and compete with robotics, in robotics competitions, groups, and independently.

New Membership

The Robotics Club is always open to new members. Robotics requires a broad range of skills and majors, making the club open to students from all disciplines. The only requirement is having an interest in robotics. We run three projects which use a multitude of skills, included but not limited to:


  • Computer-Aided Design
  • Mechanical Design
  • Electronic Design
  • Programming and Controls
  • Manufacturing
  • Project Planning and Management
  • Social Media and Brand Management
  • Business and Finance

The Robotics Club is split into three projects that meet on different nights of the week. Meeting from 7-8 in the basement of the SIC 0122
